The Ruta do Viño de Valdeorras celebrated on November 28 at 8:00 p.m. the second event of its enotourism proposal “Sabores de Outono”, a gathering designed to highlight seasonal products and the wines of the region. The activity took place at Aloxamento A Pontevella (Sobradelo) and brought together 20 participants, filling the planned capacity.
The session, guided by oenologist Cecilia Fernández, offered a sensory journey through the flavors of autumn with a carefully curated pairing of wines from the Pinguela, Sampayolo, and Casal wineries, and a selection of gastronomic proposals focused on game and forest products.
During the evening, attendees could taste:
-
Wild boar croquettes paired with Sampayolo Godello.
-
Wild boar stew accompanied by Memoria de Ventura (Garnacha) from Pinguela.
-
Mushroom pie harmonized with Casal Mencía.
The experience stood out for its warm and intimate atmosphere, in a space already decorated for Christmas and with privileged views of the Sobradelo bridge. Oenologist Cecilia Fernández evaluated the event very positively, highlighting the involvement of the attendees and the group’s overall enjoyment.
This second session follows the one held in mid-November at Escondite Inglés (A Rúa), where the wineries A Bágoa, Berna, and Terriña participated, with a menu that included pork tenderloin with chestnut cream, mushrooms stuffed with Serrano ham and cheese, and baked Brie cheese with honey and pistachios.
With these two events, the Ruta do Viño de Valdeorras consolidates “Sabores de Outono” as an activity that combines territory, gastronomy, and wine to enjoy the season with all five senses.
