The 5th BTT Ruta do Viño Valdeorras will take place on October 19, featuring a non-competitive cycling ride that combines sport, landscape, and wine tourism across the municipalities of the region.
This initiative is organized by Rutas Xanzá, with sponsorship from the Galicia Tourism Agency, the Ourense Provincial Council, and the Rubiá City Council.
This year, as a novelty, there will be two routes: a long route of 43.4 km and a short route of 37 km. Both routes take place entirely within the municipality of Rubiá, with the start at 9:30 a.m. from Plaza da Baicela.
There will be three refreshment points during the ride: two along the route and a final one, offering Galician gastronomic delights such as empanada, “bollos preñados,” and bica.
Although this is a NON-COMPETITIVE event, participants will receive a chip to track the route. Bib collection will take place at the AEVA office, Rúa España No. 1, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on the day of the ride at the starting point in Plaza da Baicela from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Registrations open on 18/06/2025 and close on 14/10/2025. The registration fee is €29, but ATTENTION: there is a promotional price of €20 for the first 100 registrations.

The registration fee includes all insurance as well as two gifts for participants: a commemorative technical t-shirt and a bottle of Godello wine from the wineries associated with the Ruta do Viño Valdeorras, which will be delivered in the participant’s bag.
Activity for companions: vineyard walk and wine tasting
A key novelty of this edition is a free complementary activity for companions. While the cyclists follow the route, companions can enjoy a guided walk through the vineyards, followed by a tasting of four wines.
